Indoor-outdoor living room

For an outdoor entertainment area with a relaxing vibe, turn your seating area into a serene oasis that blurs the lines between inside and outside. And if you love the biophilic concept, an exterior living room lets you get closer to nature. Handcrafted from Canadian cedar wood – which boasts rich tones and natural characteristics – our Cedar panels make a beautiful addition to such schemes.

We suggest styling the space with furniture in outdoor-friendly materials, such as wicker, glass and breathable textiles. Think cushioned sofas and large tables, perfect for gathering with family and friends. Elevate your external living room with a fire pit for some warmth after-dark. Additionally, draping blankets over seating will help create a homely vibe and keep any cool breezes at bay once the sun sets.

Al fresco dining spot

From weekend brunch to late-night dinners, an outdoor dining area is destined to become one of your most-used exterior entertaining spaces. Create your ultimate al fresco spot by looking at your favourite restaurants with outside seating – whether at home or away.

With Cedar panelling as your backdrop, we suggest making your dining set the focal point by zoning the space with carefully placed décor, such as outdoor rugs, floral arrangements and lantern candles. Evoke your desired atmosphere by festooning bushes and branches with fairy lights to help you achieve a cosy ambience.

Outdoor bar area

Want to take your garden parties up a notch? Incorporate an outdoor bar into your entertainment area, perfect for an al fresco aperitivo when the sun's out. After all, summer evenings were made for catching up with friends over drinks and nibbles.

Thanks to the modular design, our Cedar panels can be used as decorative cladding or as functional fencing and installed vertically or horizontally to create your desired look. They're perfect for adding natural texture to outdoor entertainment areas like garden bars and barbeque kitchens. You can also use them as a high boundary to ensure privacy. Our Cedar modular bundle is ideal for helping you create a secluded spot, as it includes three panels and three individual slats; when screwed together, they make a 6ft fence panel.

Sun-soaked small spaces

If you like the sound of a quiet corner to enjoy the sun in, then read on. Whether you want a cosy spot to sip on your morning coffee while listening to the birdsong or a relaxing retreat to help you wind-down come evening, you can easily elevate exteriors with lower square footage with some simple upgrades.

Our single Cedar panels are ideal for transforming smaller outside spaces into charming corners to enjoy the sunshine. The slatted structure allows rays to peek through, while the wood's warmth also provides an inviting aura, ensuring a space you'll want to spend all summer in. Similarly, our Cedar individual slats can be used to enhance outdoor areas where full panels may not quite fit. You can also use them to create a bespoke design that suits any unique intricacies of your space.

How to maintain your outdoor entertaining area

We're passionate about easy-fit, enduring design, so we offer a range of accessories that will help you prolong the life of your Cedar panels and slats. Find our top recommendations below.

Exterior screws

Our Exterior screws have been hand-selected by us specifically for use with our Cedar collection. Made from stainless steel for year-round weatherproofing, each screw has a single coarse thread for a neat finish at the fixing point. One box contains 200 screws and comes with a torx bit, which can be fitted into a drill or screwdriver for easy installation.

UV protection oil

Keep the cladding in your outdoor area looking its best for entertaining guests with our UV protection oil. We recommend applying this clear treatment 12 weeks after installation to restore the wood's rich tone (as you may notice some natural weathering during this time). Afterwards, you'll just need to re-apply the oil once every 2-3 years – it's a simple as that!

Wood creams

Bring your exterior colour scheme together with our Rubio wood cream selection. As well as giving your Cedar panels and slats a wash of colour, these treatments have a clever self-cleaning formula, nourish the wood and give it a water-repellent finish. Plus, the cream texture ensures incredibly smooth application. In other words, they're a Cedar panelling essential.
